Day 0

Well in all honesty it's already what I intended to be Day 1, but night turned to morning, and here I am! No worries though, since I'm sure this first post will be read by nobody but me, and I sure can forgive myself for being late. And I'm still going to do my Day 1 post. There's enough room on a Sunday to hold two blog posts, isn't there?

So anyway, for anyone who may read this in the future, digging it out of my archive or stumbling across it during an idle waltz through the Internet, what I'm going to be doing here is simple: following my work on the novel I intend to write. What's going to make this fun? Well, I have very few pre-conceived notions about what I'm going to write, I've never written a (cohesive) fictional work longer than four pages, and I have no formal training in novel writing.

I'm going to keep track of everything here: from planning the basic concept, to creating lush settings, to nurturing healthy characters. I hope someone will find it fun to follow along with the raw unfolding of the creative process. In any case I'll be able to keep this as a log for the future!

Also, I will post every day. Just to keep myself writing SOMEWHERE.

In closing, I'll just ask (since I planned on it all along) "To write or not to write?" The answer to that, as you may have guessed, is "To write! No question!"
